The Court met a day early this time. It seems we will have public
comment again but they kicked the can down the road again and will
let the new court decide who and how it will be done. I am sure they
will mess it up but it will be fun to watch and will be educational
for the two new members. Well happy new year to everyone!

A reminder to all in Upshur County who support your District Attorney, Billy Byrd, to be in Commissioner's Court on Monday, January 10th to show their support for him and the good job he is doing despite the local County Officials he is prosecuting. He has a job to do, so let him do it and be proud that he has stepped forward to see that justice is served; even in Upshur County!!
ReplyDeleteRemember that justice (not fairness) is supposed to be blind. So the system works when favoritism is not shown. You are right Byrd has a difficult job and should be supported.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gus, we finally found common ground and agree on letting DA Billy Byrd do his job. He has recused himself because he may be call as a witness in the three county officials trials, however, he can prosecute Ken Ambrose for his thievery with no problem. We see the marbles rolling down hill now and the officials are falling like flies. Who will be next??
