TO: Citizens of Upshur County, Precinct Chairmen: Troy ‘Cotton’ Jones, Jed Hefner, Bill Stenger, Kenneth Yates, Matt Byrd, Joe Dodd, Ken Patterson and Glenn Leach
REF: CASE #709 10, RIDGEWAY, BARBER & DAWSON vs KEN AMBROSE
SUBJECT: CONTRATULATIONS: TRUTH AND JUSTICE HAVE PREVAILED
Yesterday’s (January 3, 2011) Order by Judge Paul Banner, in 115th District Court, Upshur County, Texas was granted FOR the Plaintiffs!!!
Among other findings in the Plaintiff’s favor were:
    1. Defendant, AMBROSE, is enjoined from (ordered against) calling or conducting meetings of the Republican Executive Committee, without giving prior notice to each of the duly elected Precinct Chairmen;

    2. Precinct Chairmen, elected in the March 2, 2010 Primary, were recognized as the citizens of Upshur County’s Precinct chairs, thereby, entitled to participate in the Executive Committee meetings. Defendant AMBROSE’S attempt to override the citizens voting rights of Upshur County by appointing his handpicked puppet regime of replacement Precinct Chairmen was found to be illegal and they were dismissed without merit by Judge Banner.
Simply said, Mr. Ambrose had been ordered to STOP his ill-conceived and illegal disenfranchisement of the duly elected Precinct Chairs in conducting Party business. His exclusionary behavior during, and since the June 5, 2010 Organizational Meeting, toward those of us who objected to his illegal conduct of that meeting, have been validated as a VIOLATION of the Texas Election Code and Republican Party of Texas Rules. Furthermore, any purported Precinct Chairmen “replacements” that Chairman AMBROSE made for your position are INVALID.
The Plaintiffs want to thank each of you for your patience and support in our efforts to secure justice for you and the citizens of Upshur County. While it has been financially costly, it was necessary and we continue to enjoy the financial backing of like-minded Republicans around Senate District 1, and the Republican Party of Texas. As Cynthia Ridgeway stated to the press at the conclusion of the hearing, “We had to bring suit, because of Chairman AMBROSE’S repeated refusals to meet with other SD1 County Chairmen, SREC Officials and even, the Republican Party Chairman, Steve Munisteri, to resolve the illegal actions. The only way the law can protect the Upshur County citizens rights is when the law is upheld.” (In other words, the courts did uphold the law when Chairman AMBROSE chose not to comply with numerous section of the law.)
We also owe a debt of gratitude to our SREC Committeeman, Steve Findley, as well as our SREC Comitteewoman, Brenda Patterson, the Reagan Project PAC, and the newly formed Upshur Conservative Coalition PAC and several Angels around SD1.
The Court has yet to set a date to hear our Petition of Writ of Mandamus and Declaratory Judgement. We expect that to be scheduled several months away. In the meantime, we are now able to proceed with Republican Party business, for which we were elected. We are delighted to represent the Upshur County citizens in fulfilling their desires for a transparent and legally compliant Republican Party of Upshur County and will be in touch with each duly elected Precinct Chairman in the very near future in that regard. Thanks again for your patience.
    Sincerely,

    Cynthia Ridgeway

  2. The fact that you post a comment that has nothing to do with the topic does very little to promote confidence.

  3. Posted the long comment in a more appropriate place. Can't delete this one however. Maybe the webmaster can delete this one.

  5. The Upshur County Haters Association is doing well as you can see by the comment above. The long comment above that isn't stupid at all, rather informative. I guess the Haters are going to continue to be combative no matter what one has to say; especially, since they never agree with anyone. Their ideas are so liberally slanted it's ridiculous. Come on, people, don't you have any common sense?

  6. Stupid: "Very dull, wanting in understanding."
    It's stupid for two reasons.
    1. It smacks of an infantile nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah, attitude. It show a lack of maturity.

2.The article under which it is posted has nothing to do with it's content. Better to have written a letter to the Gilmer Mirror.

To the last poster:01/07 at 21:38.
Who are the"Haters" - you are too vague.
    How are they "combative".
In what things have they not agreed with anyone?
What ideas do they have that are liberal?
What does common sense have to do with anything.

Continually posting general, unsubstantiated clap trap does a lot to help your own cause, what ever that might be. It seems to be the destruction of the Upshur County Republican Party.

  7. The Republican Party will survive despite Kenneth Edmund Ambrose and associates. Just being patient and waiting for all the marbles to be in place before letting them roll and down will come Ambrose, associates and all.

    1. Judge Paul Banner is directly involved in allowing a Longview company running a multi-million dollar scam. Amounts that were well documented over 12 million dollars. That certainly speaks volumes for his honesty.

  10. IF KENNETH AMBROSE DIDN'T STEAL THE $6,000 FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY---WHY DID HE HAVE TO PAY IT BACK? VERY INTERESTING HOW HIS CASE WAS DISMISSED AFTER SOME TEN MONTHS OF THE D.A. SAYING TO EVERYONE THAT IT WAS A "SLAM-DUNK" CASE, HE WAS GOING TO JAIL. WHAT A LAUGH HE HAD AT THE PARTY'S EXPENSE?
