new commissioners

There is a new comment that says Hefner isn't in the office much. I
was under the impression that he was going to be a full time
commissioner. Does anyone know for sure?

Indictment

The Sheriff, The Judge, and the Commissioner plead "not guilty". So
I guess they'll go to court. Not only is this embarrassing to the
county, But how much is this costing us taxpayers? Can't they just
admit they were wrong and get back to work.

Public Comment Is Back

Commissioners vote 2 to 1 to put public comment back on the agenda.
You can speak on any item only if it is on the agenda. Well that
makes sense, don't it ? Now lets move on to more important things
like Reducing the budget and cutting my property tax, spur economic
growth, and reducing the size of Government. That might mean cutting
some county jobs.

Republican vs Republican vs Republican

Well here we go again. It seems that Ambrose is now going to sue
Brenda Patterson and Peggy LaGrone for the money they spent on
unsuccessful recounts in last March Republican primaries. Patterson
cannot be found and LaGrone says shes not paying him anything. So Its
back to court for the Republican party. This just keeps getting
funnier and funnier. Oh yeah and the newly, court mandated, precinct
chairs have called a meeting of the Republican party executive
committee for Sat. 4:30 at the Republican headquarters in Gilmer.
This should be one hellava show.

Commissioners to meet Monday

The Commissioners court will be Monday at 9am. Public comment will be
back on the agenda. So brave the bad weather and come on out and
exercise your constitutional right to speak.

County Judge Removed from office

County Judge Dean fowler was temporarily removed from office today by
the State. We will have to wait to see who replaces him and what
happens to the other two.
